No wonder, people say that a pregnant woman should eat “for two”. Many women interpret this saying incorrectly and try to eat two times more than before, enlarging their portions. Meanwhile, this saying means that a pregnant woman should be eating more healthy food products, rich in minerals, vitamins, amino acids and other nutrients. With that said, it is important to find out what products should obligatory be included into the everyday menu of a pregnant woman.

Vegetables and fruit play a highly important role in any ration, but when it comes to pregnant women, they are really indispensible. This especially concerns carrots, bell pepper, spinach, tomatoes, bananas and apples. These vegetables and fruit are a perfect source of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and other microelements that play notable role in the development and functioning of any organism, not to mention that of a baby unborn.
Such cereals as oatmeal and brown rice should be included into the ration of a pregnant woman on a daily basis. They contribute to the normal pregnancy, due to the high concentration of vitamins and minerals. When consumed regularly, they help improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract of a woman, while brown rice contains more amino acids, which play important role in the formation of cells.
Each pregnant woman should obligatory consume products rich in proteins. These include natural yoghurt, hard cheese, dairy products, seafood, eggs, meat, tofu and other suchlike products. They have high nutritional value and abound in the substances, which are indispensible for pregnant women.
Berries are, undoubtedly, a perfect source of vitamins and minerals. Just like vegetables and fruit, they should be obligatory included into the everyday menu of a pregnant woman, if the season allows you doing that, of course. This especially concerns strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and other berries you like and wish to eat any time of the day.
As you see, the amount of healthy products for a healthy pregnancy is really impressive and you just have to make up your own menu to “eat for two”!
