Spiced Carrot Cake

This spiced carrot cake is one of the favorite British desserts. And it is no wonder, because the cake is delicious and comes with fantastic flavor! Learn the recipe right away and cook this carrot cake for your love ones!

  • flour: 2 cup
  • sugar: 1 cup
  • baking powder: 2 Tbsp
  • ginger: 0.5 Tbsp (ground)
  • nutmeg: 0.5 Tbsp (ground)
  • carrot: 1 cup (grated)
  • vanilla essence: 0.5 Tbsp
  • egg: 2 piece
  • yogurt: 4 Tbsp (natural)
  • milk: 0.5 cup
  • vegetable oil: 0.5 cup

Grease and flour the pan. This takes some time and effort, so, it is better to do this in advance.

Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, ground ginger, vanilla essence or ground nutmeg in a bowl.

Now, add grated carrot to the dry mixture. Mix everything well to get a smooth mass.

Add the rest of ingredients to the dough and mix it once again.

Now, combine both mixtures and stir them well one more time.

Spoon the dough into the baking pan you have prepared. Spread it evenly.

Bake in the pre-heated to 180 C (356 F) oven for about 50 minutes until it becomes light brown.

As soon as the cake is ready, let it cool down for about 5-10 minutes. Dredge it with sugar powder or decorate to your liking. Enjoy!
