Gratin is a dish we usually call a casserole: cooked in the oven, it's covered with a delicious cheese crust of golden color on top. The name "graten" comes from the French "gratin" - a crust. We suggest to discover a mix of gratin and healthy ground turkey recipes - Zucchini Gratin with Ground Turkey.

Stages of cooking

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Onions cut into very thin quarter-rings.

  2. Preheat pan with olive oil. Quickly fry the onions until golden brown. Put it to a bowl.

  3. In the same pan, fry the ground turkey for 10-15 minutes. Return the onions to the pan and heat together with the minced meat for one minute. Salt, pepper, remove from fire.

  4. Zucchini cut into thin half rings. Boil water. Fold the zucchini in a saucepan and add water so that it only covers the vegetables. Salt and put on medium-heavy fire for 5 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, grate the cheese. Mix the cheese with cream and Provence herbs.

  6. Drain the water from the zucchini, wait until the water runs out and the zucchini cools down a bit. If your pan is not suitable for use in the oven, put the ground turkey in a baking dish and smooth it with a spatula. Lay the zucchini slices on top.

  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the zucchini layer. Put the zucchini gratin in the oven for 20 minutes - until the cheese melts and turns into a golden crust on a casserole.
