Stages of cooking
-
Prior to cooking the dessert, pre-heat the oven to 170 C (350 F). Take a deep baking dish and butter it a bit. Dredge with flour. Put the cherries and the almonds on the bottom of the dish.
-
Now, take a bowl, whisk white and brown sugar with eggs there to get a smooth mass. Add salt and flour as needed.
-
Then add milk, vanilla extract and almond extract. Whisk once again. Pour the batter into the baking dish above the almonds and cherries.
-
Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 40-45 minutes until the dessert becomes light brown. As soon as your cherry clafoutis is ready, take it away from the oven and let it cool down. Dredge with powdered sugar and enjoy!
