Homemade chili is delicious and goes great with cornbread or over corn chips for a chili pie! I like to use spicy pinto beans.

Ingredients

  • ground beef: 1 pound
  • onion: 1 piece (chopped)
  • tomato sauce: 1 can (15 ounce can)
  • kidney beans: 1 can (15 ounce can)
  • stewed tomatoes: 1 can (14.5 ounce can)
  • ½ cups water: 1 piece (or as needed, optional)
  • pinch chili powder: 1 piece (to taste)
  • pinch garlic powder: 1 piece
  • salt and pepper: (to taste)

  1. Place ground beef and onion in a large saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir until meat is browned and onion is tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
