Spinach is a healthy leaf vegetable and there can be no doubts about that. When combined with Indian spices, potato and cream - it turns out sooo mouthwatering! So, get the ingredients and give it a try right away! You won’t regret it!
Ingredients
- potato: 3 piece
- spinach: 300 g
- ginger: 1 piece (root, around 2.5 cm)
- onion: 1 piece
- garlic: 5 clove
- oil: 3 Tbsp
- cumin: 1 tsp
- coriander seeds: 2 tsp (ground)
- black pepper: 0.25 tsp
- salt: 1 tsp
- butter: 1 Tbsp
- cream: 0.5 cup (20%)

Boil water in a deep pot. Then wash the spinach, put into boiling water and cook for about 3-5 minutes. Then drain and blend well. Peel the potatoes, cut into small cubes. Peel the onion, garlic and ginger root. Chop these ingredients carefully as well.

Now, take a frying pan and warm the oil on low heat. Add the potato and cook stirring the ingredients frequently until they become soft (this usually takes around 15 minutes). Spoon the readymade ingredients into a separate bowl then.

Fry the cumin seeds in the same frying pan for about one minute. Add the onion, garlic and ginger and cook for 3 more minutes, stirring the dish.

Right after that, add the spinach, coriander and pepper. Stir the ingredients well and cook under the lid for about 5 minutes.

Now, it is high time to add the potato and season the dish with salt. Add cream, butter and mix thoroughly. Then remove the frying pan from the heat. Your Indian style potatoes and spinach dish is now ready! Treat your family and friends with it and enjoy its spicy taste and aroma!
