This meatloaf recipe is the only one I use now because my family loves it, and it is very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds lean ground beef: 1 piece
  • onion: 1 piece (chopped)
  • salt: (to taste)
  • ground black pepper: (to taste)
  • garlic powder: (to taste)
  • slices white bread: 6 piece (cut into cubes)
  • milk: 0.5 cup
  • egg: 1 piece
  • yellow mustard: 3 Tbsp (divided)
  • ketchup: 0.5 cup (divided)
  • brown sugar: 3 Tbsp

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix ground beef, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix in bread, milk, egg, 2 tablespoons mustard and 1/4 cup ketchup.

  3. Press the meat mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. In a small bowl, stir together remaining mustard, ketchup and brown sugar; pour on top of the meat loaf.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 2 hours. Allrecipes Magazine
