Ingredients

  • ½ gallons water: 1 piece
  • quart apple cider: 1 piece
  • brown sugar: 2 cups
  • oranges: 2 piece (sliced)
  • ½ cups salt: 1 piece
  • celery leaves and diced celery stalk from the inside of a bunch: 0.75 cup
  • rosemary: 3 Tbsp (dried)
  • garlic: 6 clove (minced)
  • bay leaves: 6 piece
  • thyme: 1 Tbsp (dried)

  1. Stir water, apple cider, brown sugar, orange slices, salt, celery, rosemary, garlic, bay leaves, and thyme together in a stock pot; bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Cool brine completely before using to brine turkey.
