This cookie recipe is a good idea for Sunday morning breakfast. It is aromatic with pleasant nut flavour, make it out of fresh brown sugar for it will make cookies soft.
Ingredients
- vanilla essence: 1 tsp
- yolk: 1 piece
- salt: 0.5 tsp
- egg: 1 piece
- baking powder: 0.5 tsp
- flour: 2 cup
- brown sugar: 2 cup
- butter: 14 Tbsp
- sugar: 50 g

Heat 10 tbsp butter in a pan until it is melted, cook it until it is golden brown and smells like nuts, it is approximately 3 minutes. Then place all in a bowl and add the last 4 tbsp of butter. Stir well and leave for 15 minutes.

Pre-heat the oven to 170C (340F) degrees. Now mix sugar and 50 g of brown sugar, put aside. Mix flour and baking powder and put aside. Mix the rest of brown sugar together with melted butter, add yolk and egg, stir well.

Now mix well both mixtures. Make sure the dough is smooth.

Divide the dough into 24 pieces, out of each make a ball. Dip each ball into the sugar mixture and place on a baking tray. Press each ball with anything to make them flat.

Bake until brown for 12-15 minutes. The edges of the cookies must be hard but the center must be soft. When it is cooked, leave for 5 minutes, then remove out of the tray and cool.
