Wonder how to cook real burritos? Here is a simple, but very delicious recipe of this Mexican dish! Follow the steps and may your cooking experiment be a success!

Ingredients

  • minced beef : 500 g (may be replaced by turkey, chicken or pork)
  • beans : 400 g (refried)
  • tomatoes : 5 piece
  • chives : 1 bunch
  • cheddar cheese : 200 g
  • onion : 2 piece (large)
  • flour tortillas : 8 piece
  • chili powder : 2 tsp
  • cumin : 1 tsp
  • oil : 2 Tbsp
  • lettuce : 1 bunch
  • salt : 0.5 tsp
  • black pepper : 1 pinch

Stages of cooking

  1. Chop the onions and fry them on medium fire for about 8-10 minutes. While the onions are frying, mix a bit of water with spices. Add the spices to the onions and keep frying for 5 minutes.

  2. Add minced meat and fry until it becomes light brown.

  3. Now, add the refried beans and mix the ingredients well. Dredge with salt and black pepper to your taste.

  4. Chop the chives, lettuce and tomatoes, grate cheddar cheese.

  5. Warm one flour tortilla in a microwave oven for about 10 seconds and put it on an even and clean countertop. Fill your tortilla with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, chives and the mixture of meat and beans. Take any proportions of the ingredients for the topping you like, but make sure your burrito will not burst.

  6. Now, carefully fold the burrito from all the sides.

  7. Then take a fireproof dish and put all your burritos inside.

  8. Pre-heat the oven to 180 C (356 F), cover your burritos with foil and bake for about 40-45 minutes. Serve with sour cream or guacamole sauce (if you have the one). Bon appétit!
