- leeks, bulb only, sliced into rings: 3 piece
- onion: 1 piece (sliced)
- medium potatoes, peeled and: 5 piece (sliced)
- salt and pepper: (to taste)
- marjoram: 0.5 tsp (dried)
- thyme: 0.25 tsp (dried)
- bay leaf: 1 piece
- chicken broth: 5 cups
- heavy whipping cream: 0.25 cup
