This turkey and stuffing recipe is easy to make. It's great for beginners, but experts will find it equally delicious. Adjust the cooking time for different-sized birds.

- whole turkey: 12 pound
- ½ cups water: 1 piece
- butter: 5 Tbsp (divided)
- dry bread stuffing mix: 1 pack (6 ounce pack)
- celery: 1 cup (chopped)
- onion: 0.25 cup (chopped)
- slices toasted white bread: 4 piece (torn into small pieces)
- salt and ground black pepper: (to taste)
- vegetable oil: 2 Tbsp

Roast turkey in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the thigh reaches 180 degrees F (85 degrees C) and the interior of the stuffing reaches 165 degrees F (70 degrees C), about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
