I'm constantly asked to make this tasty dish and why not? It is a hearty meal in itself, perfect for game day or when you don't want to spend all day in the kitchen. I will usually serve it with cheesy homemade garlic bread.
Ingredients
- ground beef: 2 pound
- whole peeled tomatoes: 1 can (28 ounce can)
- tomato sauce: 2 cans (8 ounce cans)
- green bell peppers: 2 piece (chopped)
- water: 1 cup
- yellow onions: 2 piece (chopped)
- converted raw rice: 1 cup
- Worcestershire sauce: 2 Tbsp
- chili powder: 2 Tbsp
- hot sauce: 0.5 tsp (to taste)
- cheddar cheese: 1 cup (to taste, shredded)

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until lightly browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard fat.

Transfer beef to a slow cooker. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, green bell peppers, water, onions, rice, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and hot sauce. Cook on High until rice is tender, about 3 hours. Serve in bowls and top with Cheddar cheese.
