Foxtail millet kheer with jaggery is a sweet dish popular in South India. It takes around 20 minutes to cook it, but the taste of the dessert will surprise everyone. Try cooking it right away and you won’t regret the result!
Ingredients
- foxtail millet: 1 cup
- milk: 2.5 cup
- water: 0.25 cup
- Jaggery: 0.25 cup
- cardamom: 0.5 Tbsp (dried)
- raisins: 7 piece
- saffron: 5 piece
- almond: 6 piece
- cashew: 5 piece
- ghee: 2 Tbsp

Take a frying pan and dry roast the foxtail millet first.

Heat the pan, add ghee, roast raisins, almonds and cashews. Spoon the mixture into a bowl and set it aside for a while. Then proceed to the next step.

Take the same frying pan and mix water with milk in it. Then add the foxtail millet and bring to a boil.

Boil until the foxtail millet is ready. It should be soft.

Then add jaggery and mix well.

The final step is adding cardamom powder, roasted nuts with raisins and saffron.
