Shrimp pilaf is a traditional Russian dish, which is very tasty and aromatic. You can use any spices you like to make the flavor of the dish even more tempting. The pilaf consists of several ingredients only and is not difficult to cook!
Ingredients
- vegetable oil: 3 Tbsp
- shrimp: 0.5 kg
- rice: 2 cup (parboiled)
- water: 5 cup
- salt: 0.5 tsp (or more)
- black pepper: 1 pinch (or more)
- spices: 1 tsp
- onion: 1 piece
- garlic: 1 clove
- tomato paste: 1 Tbsp (optional)

Peel and chop the onion first.

Take a deep pot and mix vegetable oil, rice, shrimps, spices, salt and chopped onion in it.

Add water, tomato paste and black pepper. Carefully mix all the ingredients in the pot.

Add a piece of garlic and sprinkle with lemon juice. Cover the pot with the lid and cook the shrimp pilaf on medium fire for about 50 minutes until the rice is ready. Serve warm and enjoy!
