Stages of cooking
-
Wash one orange, cut it into halves and peel zest from one half of the fruit. Try not to peel the white part of the orange. Otherwise, the dessert may taste bitter.
-
Add butter, salt, sugar and orange zest into water. Place the pot onto small fire and warm it until the butter melts.
-
Sift the flour. Stirring the mixture on the fire, carefully add flour. Continue stirring until the dough is ready.
-
Take the dough away from fire, add the eggs and mix the dough well once again.
-
This is the dough you should get in the result. It should be of the cream-like consistence.
-
Now, take a large deep frying pot and warm oil in it. Spoon the dough into the oil with a teaspoon and fry on both sides for about 2-3 minutes.
-
Put the readymade donuts onto paper towels to get rid of extra oil.
-
If you wish, you can fill the donuts with the topping to your taste. Dredge them with sugar powder before serving! Bon appétit!
