- cranberries: 2 packages (12 ounce packages, fresh)
- ½ cups white sugar: 2 piece
- orange, zested and: 1 piece (juiced)
- fresh ginger root: 1 Tbsp (minced)

Combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest and juice in a large pot and heat over medium heat. Cook and stir occasionally until berries pop, about 20 minutes. Let cool until thickened.
