This hard candy recipe can easily be adjusted by using different flavored extracts and food colorings. The hardest part is waiting for the sugar to reach the proper temperature. Be patient and use a candy thermometer for perfect candy.
Ingredients
- cooking spray:
- ¾ cups white sugar: 3 piece
- ½ cups light corn syrup: 1 piece
- water: 1 cup
- orange, or other flavored extract: 1 Tbsp
- food coloring: 0.5 tsp (optional)
- confectioners' sugar for dusting: 0.25 cup

Grease a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
