This hot bacon dressing was my great-grandmother's recipe. You can serve this over cucumbers, cabbage, or dandelion greens.
Ingredients
- slices bacon: 8 piece
- ½ cups white sugar: 1 piece
- cornstarch: 3 tsp
- salt: 0.5 tsp
- white vinegar: 0.5 cup
- water: 0.25 cup

Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels, then crumble and set aside.

Whisk sugar, cornstarch, and salt together in a medium bowl. Slowly pour in vinegar and water, whisking constantly.

Place crumbled bacon in a medium skillet over medium heat. Pour in vinegar mixture; cook and stir until mixture thickens.
