Stages of cooking
-
Wash and dry the vegetables and greenery first. Then chop tomatoes, onion and cilantro in equal proportions. Add coarse black pepper.
-
Now, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chopped ingredients.
-
Set the bowl with the ingredients aside for a while. Then, cut your avocados in two halves and scoop them out with a spoon into a bowl.
-
Now, use a bean smasher thing (if you have no idea what it is, have a look at the photo).
-
Smash up the avocados as it is shown on the photo.
-
Right after that, mix smashed avocado with the chopped vegetables and greenery.
-
Add about two cloves of fresh garlic. I highly recommend using a garlic press for this purpose.
-
Then add the “secret ingredient”, which will make your dish stand out from the crowd. The ingredient we are talking about it… plain white vinegar. Add moresalt if needed and mix the dish carefully.
-
Now, it is high time to add a couple of turns around the bowls of lime. If you don’t have fresh lime at hand, you can use bottled lime juice. It works fine as well.
-
Add more coarse ground pepper and salt.
-
That’s it! Your Mexican guacamole is now ready! Put it into a nice bowl and top off with some fresh tomato and cilantro. Serve with a frozen or on-the-rocks margarita and taste this fantastic treat with your family and friends! This guacamole is really a meal in itself and pretty healthy as it is only made with veggies. YUM!
