Millions of people on the globe like pates, but this one is a bit unusual. The fact is that its major ingredients are beans and mushrooms. This, however, does not affect its taste. Try cooking it now and you won’t regret the choice!
Ingredients
- white beans: 100 g
- champignons: 200 g (or any other mushrooms)
- onion: 1 piece
- carrots: 1 piece
- olive oil: 1 Tbsp
- basil: 1 tsp (optional)
- fennel: 3 piece (branches)
- salt: 1 pinch
- nutmeg: 1 pinch
- black pepper: 1 pinch

Soak the white beans in cool water for about 4 hours.

Then boil the beans with regard to the instructions mentioned on the package, strain the beans and let them cool down a bit.

While the beans are boiling, peel onion and carrots. Chop the onion and grate the carrot. Warm up olive oil in the frying pan, fry the vegetables for about 2 minutes to prevent the onion from burning.

Wash and cut the champignons. Add them to the vegetables on the frying pan. Fry until the juice from the mushrooms evaporates.

As soon as the vegetables and mushrooms cool down a bit, mix them with the beans. Add salt, black pepper and other spices from the ingredients list or any other spices you like.

Blend the ingredients well for a few minutes to get smooth pate.
