Pickled red onions in red wine vinegar are easy to make! This tangy little condiment will spice up any dish.

Ingredients

  • medium red onion: 1 piece (chopped)
  • red wine vinegar: 0.5 cup
  • distilled white vinegar: 3 Tbsp
  • ½ tablespoons salt: 1 piece
  • white sugar: 2 tsp

  1. Combine onion, both vinegars, salt, and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and allow mixture to steep until onion is tender, about 20 minutes.
