These potato chip cookies are the most delicious and texturally fascinating chocolate chip cookies you’ll ever bake. They don’t taste like potatoes, in case you were concerned about that. The potato chips add flavor that pairs perfectly with the dark chocolate, and add a gorgeous color to the cookie—but it’s the texture that makes them truly irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cups all-purpose flour: 2 piece
  • baking soda: 1 tsp
  • salt: 0.5 tsp
  • very soft unsalted butter (2 sticks): 1 cup
  • white sugar: 1 cup
  • light brown sugar: 0.5 cup
  • egg: 1 piece
  • milk: 2 Tbsp
  • pure vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • lightly crushed potato chips: 2 cups
  • dark chocolate chips: 1 cup

  6. Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet. Space evenly, as dough will spread when baked.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven until outside edges of cookies are lightly browned, about 12 minutes. Cool on the pan for about 5 minutes, before removing cookies to a wire rack to cool completely. For best results, let cool completely before serving. Chef John
