- sago : 1 cup
- potato : 2 piece
- peanuts : 2 Tbsp (roasted and coarsely ground)
- rice flour : 1 Tbsp
- cumin seeds : 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice : 0.5 Tbsp
- coriander leaves : 2 Tbsp (finely chopped)
- green chili pepper : 1 Tbsp (finely chopped)
- salt : 1 pinch (to your taste)
- oil : 200 ml (for deep frying)
Stages of cooking
Prior to cooking the snack, soak sago in water for about 20 minutes. Then drain the water and set it aside for about 1.5-2 hours.
Boil potatoes, but don’t peel the vegetable before that.
As soon as the potatoes are boiled, peel off the skin and mash the potatoes well.
Take a bowl and add mashed potatoes, sago, salt, rice flour, cumin seeds, green chilli, coriander leaves, lemon juice and ground peanuts. Mix the ingredients well.
Divide the potato mixture into the balls that are equal in size. Then flatten the balls and get ready to fry them.
Take a frying pan and heat oil in it. Deep fry flatten aloo sago patties on medium fire until they become light golden and crispy.
Place the deep fried sabudana vada on paper towels to get rid of extra oil. Serve hot with schezwan sauce, tomato sauce or green chutney. Bon appétit!
