Delicious slow cooker steel-cut oats that are hot and ready in the morning! Garnish with chopped nuts, raisins, maple syrup, additional milk, or butter.

Ingredients

  • water: 2 cups
  • milk: 1 cup
  • steel-cut oats: 1 cup
  • medium apple - peeled, cored, and: 1 piece (chopped)
  • brown sugar: 2 Tbsp
  • ½ tablespoons butter, cut into 6 pieces: 1 piece (optional)
  • ground cinnamon: 0.5 tsp
  • salt: 0.25 tsp

  1. Combine water, milk, oats, apple, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a slow cooker; mix well.
