At a first glance baked chicken seems to be an everyday and very simple dish. But if you bake it with a bright and very unusual addition - dried fruits, adding a little wine for aroma, you get a surprisingly tasty dish worthy of a festive table.
Ingredients
- whole chicken: 1 kg
- raisins: 50 g
- apricots: 100 g (dried)
- plums: 100 g (dried)
- sour cream: 50 ml
- curry: 1 tsp
- black pepper: 1 pinch
- salt: 1 tsp
- apple: 300 g
- red wine: 250 ml (dry)

Prepare the ingredients and preheat the oven to 200C.

In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, curry, salt and black pepper. Put the chicken in a baking dish and spread with sour cream and spices. Cut apples into halves, remove the core with the seeds, and then cut each half into another 4 parts. Put the apples in shape around the chicken. Put the chicken in the oven.

As soon as you put the chicken into the oven, immediately prepare the dried fruits. In a small saucepan combine the dry red wine and dried fruits. Put on a large fire and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes.

Take out the form from the oven and spread out the dried fruit around the chicken. Pour the chicken with wine from a saucepan. Return the chicken to the oven again.
