Stages of cooking
-
Chop onion, carrots, celery stalks and garlic. Fry the vegetables on hot oil
-
Add herbes de Provence, minced meat and mix everything well. Add wine, carrot juice and canned tomatoes. Mix once again. Boil on small fire, stir it, turn off the fire and let the sauce cool down. If it tastes bitter, add a bit of sugar, black pepper and salt.
-
Mix cottage cheese or ricotta with an egg and chopped parsley
-
Take a baking form, spoon tomato sauce with minced meat on the bottom of it and cover it with first layer of lasagna sheets (you can use 2 sheets for this purpose). Then spoon cottage cheese
-
Cover cottage cheese with 2 lasagna sheets, spoon the second part of tomato sauce and dredge it with cheese. Put the remaining lasagna sheets and spoon the rest of tomato sauce with minced meat above
-
Place your lasagna into the pre-heated to 175 degrees oven for about 25 minutes. If you wish, you can cover it with foil. Then remove the foil and dredge your lasagna with the second type of grated cheese and bake for 15 minutes more
-
Bake until the cheese melts and becomes golden, but make sure it is not dry. That’s it! Your American Lasagna is ready! Wait until it cools down and taste the dish!
