I got this baked French toast recipe from my sister in law. She and my brother had it at their gift opening after the wedding. I make it any time we have people staying with us, and it is always a hit. You may sprinkle the top with pecans if you wish.
Ingredients
- loaf French bread, cut diagonally in 1 inch slices: 1 piece (1 pound)
- eggs: 8 piece
- milk: 2 cups
- ½ cups half-and-half cream: 1 piece
- vanilla extract: 2 tsp
- ground cinnamon: 0.25 tsp
- butter: 0.75 cup
- ⅓ cups brown sugar: 1 piece
- light corn syrup: 3 Tbsp
