Everyone knows how to cook traditional beef stew, but this recipe has one unique ingredient that makes the taste of the dish exotic and unusual. Try cooking it for your loved ones and they will surely appreciate the result!
Ingredients
- beef: 750 g
- smoked bacon: 50 g
- onion: 1 piece
- carrots: 250 g
- red wine: 500 ml
- whole-wheat flour: 1 Tbsp
- meat broth: 250 ml
- salt: 0.5 tsp
- black pepper: 0.5 tsp
- parsley: 1 bunch
- olive oil: 30 ml

Prepare the ingredients. Peel the vegetables, wash the beef and dry it using the paper towel.

Cut the beef into medium-sized pieces and fry on olive oil adding salt and pepper.

Put the fried meat on a plate.

Cut the bacon into thin pieces and fry on the same olive oil.

Cut the carrot into thin circles. Slice the onion into semi-circles.

Add onion and carrot to the bacon and continue frying for about 7-8 minutes. Then add 1 tablespoon of flour and fry for 2 minutes more.

Add beef into the frying pan.

When the meat warms up, add red wine and wait until it evaporates a bit. Add meat broth, salt and spices.

Cover the pot with the lid and keep stewing for 1.5 hours until the meat becomes soft. Add chopped parsley or any other edible greenery in the end. If the sauce is too dense, pour some water.
