Super easy broccoli salad for a crowd that's pretty and just a bit different. Great right away but gets better the longer it gets to marinate.
Ingredients
- mayonnaise (such as Hellmann's®): 2 cups
- white sugar: 1 cup
- white wine vinegar: 0.25 cup
- dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's® RedHot): 3 piece (to taste)
- bacon: 1 pound
- broccoli florets: 12 cups (to taste, fresh)
- fruit and nut trail mix: 3 cups
- red onion, diced into 1/4-inch pieces: 0.5 piece

Mix together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, and hot sauce in a medium bowl until smooth. Set aside to allow sugar to dissolve into dressing.

Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels and let cool enough to handle, about 10 minutes. Crumble.

Combine crumbled bacon, broccoli, trail mix, and red onion in a large serving bowl. Add dressing and toss thoroughly.
