Ingredients

  • (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken: 1 piece (cut into pieces)
  • salt: 1 tsp
  • black pepper: (freshly ground)
  • all-purpose flour: 0.25 cup
  • biscuit baking mix: 1 pound
  • carrots: 2 piece (sliced)
  • stalks celery: 2 piece (chopped)
  • potatoes: 5 piece (chopped)

  1. Put chicken pieces in a large pot over medium heat, and add enough water to cover 3 inches over the chicken. Add the salt, celery, pepper, carrots, celery and potatoes. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 40 minutes.
