Chocolate hummus is so delicious and full of chocolate, no one will ever know you made it with chickpeas! Try it for dessert with fresh fruit, cookies, crackers, or even by the spoonful!

Ingredients

  • milk chocolate chips: 0.25 cup
  • chickpeas (garbanzo beans): 1 can (15 ounce can, drained and rinsed)
  • unsweetened cocoa powder: 0.5 cup
  • maple syrup: 2 Tbsp (to taste)
  • vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • salt: 0.5 tsp
  • almond milk: 2 Tbsp (or more if needed)

  1. Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave until melted, 1 to 3 minutes.

  2. Combine melted chocolate, garbanzo beans, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Add almond milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, while blending to desired smoothness.
