These family-favorite chocolate revel bars feature two layers of a chewy oatmeal cookie filled with fudgy chocolate.

Ingredients

  • quick cooking oats: 3 cups
  • ½ cups all-purpose flour: 2 piece
  • baking soda: 1 tsp
  • salt: 1 tsp
  • packed brown sugar: 2 cups
  • butter: 1 cup (softened)
  • eggs: 2 piece
  • vanilla extract: 2 tsp
  • sweetened condensed milk: 1 can (14 ounce can)
  • ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips: 1 piece
  • butter: 2 Tbsp
  • salt: 0.5 tsp
  • walnuts: 0.5 cup (chopped)
  • vanilla extract: 2 tsp

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  2. Make the oatmeal batter: Combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

  3. Beat brown sugar and butter with an electric mixer in a large bowl until fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until combined.

  4. Make the filling: Heat condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter, and salt in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently, until smooth, 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in walnuts and vanilla.
