- pumpkin: 400 g
- red lentils: 500 g
- olive oil: 40 g
- curry: 1 tsp
- cumin seeds: 1 tsp
- mustard seed: 2 tsp
- garlic: 7 clove
- chili powder: 0.5 tsp
- ginger: 30 g
- cilantro: 50 g
- water: 1.5 litre
- salt: 1 tsp

In a deep frying pan heat the olive oil. Pour curry, cumin and mustard seeds. Heat another 1 minute. Chop the garlic and add to the spices along with the chili. Fry for about 2 minutes.

Put pumpkin and diced ginger into the pan. Fry for 5 minutes.

Chop cilantro leaves and add to the pumpkin, mix.

Pour the lentils in the pan and pour hot water. Simmer over medium heat under cover for 35 minutes.
