Stages of cooking
-
Wash chicken breasts and sprinkle them with salt. Remove the tenderloin and cut each chicken breast into 3 pieces equal in size. Coat each piece with olive oil. Put each piece of meat between two pieces of kitchen film or parchment paper and pound them with a mallet or a rolling pin to make them thinner. Repeat the same step with the tenderloin pieces you have removed.
-
Take a large sauté pan, add olive oil and heat it a bit. Add butter and melt it. Then add pieces of chicken, brown them on both sides for a couple of minutes. Remove the pieces from the sauté pan and set them aside for a while.
-
Now, it’s high time to cook the sauce. Fry the sliced shallots on medium heat until they become soft. This will take around 5-7 minutes.
-
Then add white wine and cook until it evaporates. Add water, Dijon mustard and dried thyme. Cook until the sauce is reduced by half.
-
Lower the heat a bit and add chicken pieces into a pan. Coat them with the sauce and add the cream. Remove the pan from fire and season with salt, black pepper and spices to your taste.
-
Serve with rice, noodles, mashed potatoes, celery puree or any other side dish or vegetables you like. Enjoy!
