- ground beef: 1 pound
- onion: 1 cup (chopped)
- green bell pepper: 0.5 cup (chopped)
- ½ tablespoons chili powder: 2 piece
- clove garlic: 1 piece (minced)
- ground cumin: 0.5 tsp
- bay leaf: 1 piece
- tomatoes: 1 can (29 ounce can, diced)
- tomato sauce: 1 can (15 ounce can)
- jalapeno Chili peppers: 4 tsp (finely chopped)
- chili beans, undrained: 1 can (16 ounce can)
- salt and pepper: (to taste)

Combine ground beef, onion, and bell pepper in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook and stir until beef is browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
