We are going to cook French coffee with cognac in a jezve. So, if you don’t have it, we recommend you buying it, because you will definitely wish to cook this coffee over and over again! Take ground coffee and mix it in a jezve with salt, sugar and cinnamon. Add hot water and put on strong or medium fire. As soon as coffee starts boiling, take the jezve away from fire, wait until the foam sets down and put it back on fire again. Repeat the step three times and leave coffee to cool down a bit.
-
Take any fire-resistant reservoir or tank, add sugar, cognac and… set the ingredients on fire. The fire will not be too strong, so, don’t be afraid. Wait for about 30 seconds and put the fire out if it does not disappear on its own.
-
Pour the mixture into a cup.
-
Add hot coffee from the jezve into a cup. You can also add more sugar depending upon your taste. Enjoy the fantastic aroma and taste of the drink!
