My boys and husband love this homemade beef chili recipe with beans that I make in the slow cooker. Add some corn chips or Cheddar cheese and it is always a winner.
Ingredients
- olive oil: 2 Tbsp
- onion: 1 piece (chopped)
- garlic: 2 clove (minced, to taste)
- lean ground beef: 2 pound
- kidney beans: 2 cans (16 ounce cans, drained)
- tomatoes: 1 can (28 ounce can, diced)
- tomato puree: 1 can (15 ounce can)
- water: 1 cup
- green Chili peppers: 1 can (4 ounce can, chopped)
- mild chili powder: 2 Tbsp
- salt: 2 tsp
- ground cumin: 2 tsp
- ground black pepper: 1 tsp
