This impossible apple pie makes its own crust. It is an absolutely delicious treat that will have your friends stumped.

Ingredients

  • tart apples — peeled, cored, and: 6 cups (sliced)
  • ¼ teaspoons ground cinnamon: 1 piece
  • ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp
  • white sugar: 1 cup
  • milk: 0.75 cup
  • biscuit mix (e.g. Bisquick): 0.5 cup
  • eggs: 2 piece
  • butter: 2 Tbsp
  • biscuit mix (e.g. Bisquick): 1 cup
  • walnuts: 0.5 cup (chopped)
  • light brown sugar: 0.33333 cup
  • butter: 3 Tbsp

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 10-inch pie pan.

  2. In a large bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg together; turn mixture into pan. In a separate bowl, beat sugar, milk, 1/2 cup biscuit mix, eggs, and butter until smooth. Pour over apples.

  3. In a small bowl, stir together 1 cup biscuit mix, nuts, brown sugar and butter; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle streusel over top of pie.

  4. Bake in preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes; bake until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
