- beef short ribs, cut flanken style: 5 pound
- Asian pear, cored and: 1 piece (cubed)
- onion: 1 piece (chopped)
- garlic: 5 clove
- soy sauce (such as Kikkoman®): 1 cup
- brown sugar: 1 cup
- honey: 0.25 cup
- sesame oil: 0.25 cup
- black pepper: (to taste)
