Vegetarian dishes frequently look and taste similarly, but the dish we are going to cook right now, will differ a lot! This dish belongs to the traditional Greek cuisine and is called “Lahanorizo”. It involves vegetables, rice and spices, which give the taste its special aroma and vibrant colors! Try to prepare this healthy vegetable recipe and your family will love it.
Ingredients
- cabbage: 800 g
- onion: 1 piece
- carrots: 2 piece
- tomato juice: 100 ml
- rice: 100 g
- olive oil: 100 ml (can be replaced with butter)
- salt: 0.5 tsp
- peppercorn: 3 piece
- parsley: 1 bunch
- Powdered coriander: 1 pinch
- chili pepper: 0.3 piece
- bunch onion: 3 bunch

Cut the cabbage and put it into a deep bowl.

Cut the onion into cubes. Slice the carrots into thin circles.

Fry the carrots and onion on olive oil or butter.

Add chopped bunch onion.

Add cabbage and fry on maximum fire. Keep stirring the dish until the cabbage becomes caramelized.

As soon as the cabbage fries for 15-20 minutes, add tomato juice and spices (peppercorn, coriander, salt). Stir the ingredients and reduce the fire to the minimum.

Add rice and water. Keep in mind that one portion of rice takes two portions of water. Cover the frying pan with the lid and stew until the rice is ready.
