This Persian shish kabob recipe is simple but tasty. The beef is marinated in a mixture of lime juice and onion, seasoned with salt and pepper, and grilled. Serve with a Persian-style pilaf.

- beef tenderloin: 2 pound
- onion: 1 piece (chopped)
- lime juice: 0.125 cup (fresh)

Cut beef into 1x1/2-inch cubes and place in a large bowl. Add onion, lime juice, salt, and black pepper; mix well. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.
