Ingredients

  • distilled white vinegar: 3 cups
  • prepared yellow mustard: 2 cups
  • ½ cups white sugar: 1 piece
  • ½ cups packed light brown sugar: 1 piece
  • ground turmeric: 1 Tbsp
  • salt: 1 Tbsp
  • ground black pepper: 1 tsp
  • red pepper flakes: 1 Tbsp
  • cabbage: 16 cups (shredded)
  • carrots: 3 piece (shredded)
  • green bell peppers: 3 piece (chopped)
  • onions: 2 piece (chopped)

  1. In a large stock pot, combine vinegar, mustard, white sugar, and brown sugar. Season with turmeric, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to dissolve sugar and bring to a boil.
