Stages of cooking
-
Preheat your oven to 200C (180C fan) or gas mark 6.
-
Wash the potatoes thoroughly, then prick with a fork multiple times.
-
Drizzle Olive oil over each potato, then season with salt, pepper and add rosemary.
-
Place the potatoes in the oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the skin is crispy and the inside is soft.
-
Whilst the potatoes are baking, prepare the garlic bread. Slice the baguette or sourdough, without cutting all the way through, creating 'pockets' in the bread.
-
Mince garlic and mix it with butter. Fill the 'pockets' in the bread with garlic-butter mix.
-
Wrap the bread in foil and bake it in the oven for the last 15 minutes of the potatoes' cooking time.
-
Once the potatoes are cooked, slash the top with a sharp knife and slightly squeeze the sides to fluff up.
-
Serve the hot baked potatoes and garlic bread immediately.
-
For an added flavor, you can serve the baked potatoes with a dollop of fresh cream or grated cheese. The garlic bread serves as a perfect combination to the succulent baked potatoes. This meal is sure to be a hit for everyone, no matter the occasion. Enjoy!
