- ½ tablespoons butter or margarine: 1 piece
- green onions: 1 cup (chopped)
- garlic: 4 clove (minced)
- medium shrimp: 1 pound (peeled and deveined)
- sea scallops: 1 pound
- half-and-half cream: 2 cups
- salt and pepper: (to taste)
- freshly grated Parmesan cheese: 1 cup
