Stages of cooking
-
To cook the marinade for the shrimps, grate zest from one orange.
-
Add lemon juice and olive oil
-
Press the garlic. Add ginger. You can use either fresh grated ginger or powered ginger.
-
Add brown sugar and salt. It is recommended to use sea salt.
-
Add shrimps into the marinade and leave for about 5 minutes.
-
Then fry the shrimps on a dry well-heated frying pan for about 3 minutes on strong fire, stirring them from time to time.
-
Peel and cut the oranges into pieces and add them to the marinade. Leave some pieces of orange to decorate the dish.
-
Add the oranges and marinade to the shrimps. Stew the mixture, stirring it well. Oranges should become softer, while the marinade should be a bit dense, covering the shrimps with the glaze. This should take around 5 minutes if cooked on strong fire.
-
To serve the dish, pour sauce on the plate first and put the shrimps above. Decorate with pieces of orange and orange zest.
