An easy crockpot apple crisp. This slow cooker recipe turns abundant fall apples into a sweet comfort-food dessert. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

- all-purpose flour: 1 cup
- light brown sugar: 0.5 cup
- white sugar: 0.5 cup
- ground cinnamon: 0.5 tsp
- ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp
- pinch salt: 1 piece
- butter: 0.5 cup (cut into pieces)
- walnuts: 1 cup (chopped)
- white sugar: 0.33333 cup (to taste)
- cornstarch: 1 Tbsp
- ground ginger: 0.5 tsp
- ground cinnamon: 0.5 tsp
- apples: 6 cups (chopped)
- lemon juice: 2 Tbsp

Make the topping: Mix flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a bowl. Add butter and mix with your fingers or a fork until coarse crumbs form. Stir in walnuts.

Make the apples: Whisk sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and cinnamon together in a small bowl.

Place apples in a slow cooker. Stir in cornstarch mixture. Add lemon juice and toss to combine. Sprinkle topping over apples. Cover and cook until apples are tender, on Low for 4 hours or High for 2 hours.
