This apple betty requires no pie crust. Everyone always raves about this dessert with a delicious crisp topping. You can control the sweetness by adjusting the amount of streusel.

Ingredients

  • apples: 4 cups (thinly sliced)
  • orange juice: 0.25 cup
  • white sugar: 1 cup
  • all-purpose flour: 0.75 cup
  • ground cinnamon: 0.5 tsp
  • ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp
  • pinch salt: 1 piece
  • butter: 0.5 cup (cubed, cold)

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate.
