- ground turkey: 1 pound
- onion: 0.33333 cup (chopped)
- tomatoes: 1 can (14.5 ounce can, to taste, diced)
- white rice: 0.5 cup
- water: 0.5 cup
- liquid smoke flavoring: 1 tsp
- Gouda cheese: 1 cup (shredded)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bring a large pot of water to a boil; cook orange bell peppers in boiling water until slightly softened, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir turkey and onion in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.
