This vegetable fried rice combines the nutty flavor of brown rice with the fresh taste of bell peppers, baby peas, and other vegetables.

- water: 3 cups
- ½ cups quick-cooking brown rice: 1 piece
- peanut oil: 2 Tbsp
- yellow onion: 1 piece (chopped)
- green bell pepper: 1 piece (chopped)
- garlic: 1 tsp (minced)
- red pepper flakes: 0.25 tsp
- green onions: 3 piece (sliced)
- soy sauce: 3 Tbsp
- frozen petite peas: 1 cup
- sesame oil: 2 tsp
- roasted peanuts: 0.25 cup (optional)
